Lot of 2 different. 1) English Gold & Silver Mining Company. Location of Mine: Gold Hill, Storey County, Nevada (printed under title). Low number 5, issued to William Parsons in SF in 1876. Signed by president Morgan and secretary Gould. Not cancelled. 2) Iowa Mining Company. Virginia Mining District, Storey County, Nevada. Issued in 1875 to R. Van Brunt. Not cancelled. The Iowa adjoined the Andes on the north and was directly west of the Mexican and Union Consolidated. William C. Ralston was an early promoter of the company. Scarce.
