Two U.S. land surveyor diaries, with most entries dated in 1792. Title of first diary reads ''A Field Book'' for ''6300 acres.'' The first diary, measuring 4.75'' x 6.75'' has 10 pages of handwritten notes with various pages delineating acreage and numeric markings for portions of land. The second diary, measuring 3.5'' x 6'', runs 20 pages and reads in part: ''Next run out a place of meadow for Thomas Hutchinson…then run a line between Robert Persons plantation…'' Both diaries are in good condition.
