A) Manufactured in 1910. Fixed sights with the one line Hartford address on top of the barrel and caliber marking on the left side. Smokeless powder frame, marked with the two line, three date patents on the left side next to the circled Rampant Colt and "691" on the loading gate. Matching serial number on the frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Checkered hard rubber grips, with Rampant Colt logos at the top. The accompanying copy of the Colt factory letter verifies the caliber, barrel length, blue finish with grips as "Not Listed" and that it was shipped as 1 to Marshall-Wells Hardware Co., Portland, Oregon on September 10, 1910.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 20% of original blue finish which is contained in the protected areas and the with the balance a smooth gray patina with extensive minor spotting. The cylinder has a smooth gray patina with traces of blue blended with a smooth brown patina in the flutes, along with some scattered minor pitting. The grip straps retain strong amounts of blue around the trigger and top of backstrap with the balance a smooth gray patina. There are two deep cuts on the butt. The frame and hammer retain 40% of the original case colors fading to a silver-gray. The oversized replacement grips are fine with some scattered mild handling marks. The checkering is crisp.

B) Colt Model 1877 Lightning Double Action Storekeeper Revolver
Manufactured in 1903, this revolver was produced with a 3 1/2 inch barrel without an ejector rod. The top of the barrel is marked with the two-line Colt Hartford address," COLT D.A. 38" on the left side, the three line and three patent date marking appears on the left side of the frame followed by the circled Rampant Colt. Matching serial number on frame, trigger guard and backstrap, with the partial serial number (545) on both grips. Equipped with a blade front and frame notch rear sights and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the tops.

Condition: Good. The revolver has a mottled brown-gray patina with a smooth dark brown patina on the grip straps. Overall there is even minor pitting and some minor spotting. The heavily worn grips are fair with some minor wear in the checkering (mostly on the right panel) and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically fine.
