The markings are crisp, the etched panel clear and the action is excellent.

The cylinder retains 85% bright original blue finish with speckled flaking and light spotting. The frame has strong original dark silver remaining in the protected areas around the hammer. The left side plate has had "4240 / 98" crudely scratched into it. The brass has an aged patina. The grips are excellent with 98% original finish, some high edge wear and a few minor handling marks. Crisp and clear markings. The action is excellent.
