A) Manufactured in 1877. Features long cylinder flutes with locking slots on the backs. Two line Hartford address on top of the barrel, etched "COLT NEW 32" on the left barrel side, and patent date on barrel underside. "32 C" on left side of frame. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, cylinder, and left grip panel.

Condition: Fine. The revolver retains 50% plus original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. The etched panel is crisp and clear. The grips are very fine with most of the varnish remaining, some high edge wear, and some minor handling marks. Mechanically needs work.

B) First Model, produced in 1874, the first year of production. Nickel finish with bird head grips. Two line Hartford address flanked by Maltese crosses and "38 CAL" on the left side of the frame. Matching two digit serial number on the left grip panel, frame and barrel, with the number "36" on the cylinder.

Condition: Good. The revolver retains some scattered traces of original nickel finish with the balance a smooth gray patina. There is some scattered pin point pitting. The grip panels are undersized at the frame, otherwise the wood is fine with high edge wear and some minor handling marks.
