A) Manufactured in 1876. Features long cylinder flutes with locking slots on the backs. Two line Hartford address on top of the barrel, etched "COLT NEW 32" on the left barrel side, and patent date on barrel underside. "32 C" on left side of frame. Matching numbers on frame, barrel and cylinder.

Condition: Good. The revolver retains traces of original nickel finish in the protected areas with the balance a smooth bright gray patina. The etched panel is clear. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks. The ivory has aged to an attractive yellow color with an attractive grain pattern. Mechanically fine.

B) First Model, produced in 1875. Two line Hartford barrel address flanked by Maltese crosses, "38 CAL" on left side of frame, and matching numbers on barrel and frame.

Condition: Poor. The metal surfaces have been cleaned bright and there is some extensive, moderate pitting. The grips are very good with high edge wear and some minor dings and scratches along with a series of long scratches at the top. Mechanically good.
