A) Second Model with the long cylinder flutes, manufactured in 1876. Standard two line Hartford barrel address without the Maltese crosses, "COLT NEW 22" etched on the left side of the barrel, patent date with partial serial number (1164) on the underside of barrel, and "22 CAL" marked on the left side of the frame. Fitted with the seldom seen checkered hard rubber bird head grips.

B) Second Model, manufactured in 1882. Standard two line Hartford barrel address without Maltese crosses and etched "COLT NEW 32" on the left side. "32 CAL" is stamped on the left side of the frame and checkered "COLT" embossed grips. Nickel frame, barrel and cylinder with remaining surfaces niter blue.

A) Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 97% original nickel finish with some scattered light flaking overall, some minor flaking on the barrel and some minor scratches (mainly around the hammer screw). Much of the niter blue remains. The etched caliber panel is clear. The grips are very fine with numerous fine scratches along the edges. The checkering is crisp.

B) Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 95% original nickel finish with flaking on the muzzle and some scattered light flaking overall. Gripstraps have a slight "frosted" appearance. The etched caliber panel is clear. The grips are excellent with a few light scratches. The checkering is sharp.
