2nd Issue manufactured in 1930. The top of the barrel is marked with the address/1884-1926 patent dates, the left side is marked "OFFICERS MODEL" flanked by Maltese crosses and the Rampant Colt is marked on the left side of the frame. Elevation adjustable blade front and windage adjustable rear sights, and fitted with checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions.

Condition: Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear with light cylinder line, a small area on the left side of the frame with a number of small scratches down to the metal, thinning on the front strap and some light scattered spotting. The grips are good with a chip on each toe, a few dings along the lower edge, a few cuts on the bottoms, (which has also scratches on the butt), and a few scattered minor dings in the otherwise crisp checkering. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is excellent.

B) Manufactured in 1916. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address/1884-1926 patent dates and the left side is marked "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT". The upper left front of the frame is marked with a "crown/circled V" proof, the lower right side is marked "NOT ENGLISH MAKE" and the cylinder flutes are marked with alternating "crown/circled V" and "GP" proof marks. The left side of the frame is marked with the Rampant Colt and the triangle "VP" proof is marked on the left side of the frame ahead of the trigger. Blade front, frame notch rear sights and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips with "COLT" at the top and a lanyard loop on the butt. The accompanying factory letter verifies the serial number, was originally shipped as a "455/c" caliber, 5 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, grips are "Not Listed" and as 1 of 400 to the London Armory Co., 31 Bury Street, St. James, S.W. 1, London, England on November 29, 1916. The Colt letter also states in 1934 it was returned to Colt and rebarreled as a 45LC and reshipped to N.Y.

Condition: Very good. The revolver retains 85% blue finish with some muzzle and high edge wear, thinning on the trigger guard and a smooth mottled grayish brown patina on the grip straps. The ejector rod and trigger show normal usage wear. The grips are very good. The right panel is slightly warped, there are a few minor dings and nicks, and the checkering is crisp. The markings are clear and crisp. The action is very good.
