A) Manufactured in 1942, this revolver is fitted with the much rarer 2 inch barrel. There were approximately 50,000 Colt Commandos manufactured between 1942 and 1945 for use during World War II. The left side of the barrel is marked "COLT COMMANDO / 38 SPECIAL" and the two line address is marked on the right side. The ordnance bomb inspection mark is on the upper left rear of the frame just ahead of the hammer all filled in white. Fitted with checkered plastic "wood-grained" grips with Rampant Colt molded at the tops. Complete with a black leather holster with "USAF" embossed on the flap and snap-down belt loop.
