A) Manufactured in 1916. Blade front and top strap grooved sights. The barrel has the standard two line Hartford address/patent date marking on the tip and "NEW SERVICE 455 ELEY" on the left side. The right side of the frame has the Canadian acceptance proof (C and an arrow) and the left side of the frame has the Rampant Colt and crossed flags proof. The majority of the markings are highlighted in white. Fitted with replacement checkered plastic grips featuring Rampant Colt medallions.

B) Manufactured from 1917 to 1925. The barrel is marked "COLT DA 45" on the left side, the top has traces of the two line Hartford address/patent dates and "6360 / UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the underside (number is upside-down compared to U.S. marking). "6360" is also present on the crane and frame (both components have matching number, 273447). "S" and E" (right side) are the only frame markings. Smooth walnut grips, with "U.S. / ARMY/ MODEL / 1917/ No / 122 / 510" and a lanyard ring on the butt.

A) Excellent. The revolver retains approximately 95% of the original dull blue finish with the balance a smooth light brown patina. There is some light edge wear and a light cylinder drag line. The slightly oversized grips are near new with a few light scratches.

B) Arsenal refinished, with approximately 85% of the blue finish remaining with the balance a smooth gray patina. The grip straps have a smooth gray patina. The grips are excellent with the exception of slightly chipped toes and some minor dings and scratches.
