Two Civil War Gettysburg Documents
"WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED AFTER THE AUCTION ENDS BY THE AUCTIONEER ONCE ALL BIDS HAVE BEEN PROCESSED TO DETERMINE THE WINNER FOR EACH LOT."
Two excellent Gettysburg documents: a 3pp. handwritten report by an unknown author concerning the fierce artillery fighting around Trostle Farm after General Daniel Sickle advanced his line without orders, dated 31 January 1864. In part, ''2nd day's fight, a fierce rebel charge drove back the infantry & menaced the batteries, then with depressed guns. Sickle's gallant infantry charged the Rebel line.'' The second document is a clothing return account. Overall minor toning with small tears at folds of second document, else very good.
