Captain Kangaroo scrapbooks covering 1964-68. This treasure trove of material in two black leather binders includes a wide variety of clipped items such as newspaper and magazine articles. Volume one covering 1964-65 features Captain on the cover of the ''Hollywood Reporter'', dated 1 October 1965 celebrating the show's 3,000th episode, and a ''New York Times'' article titled ''The Clown Who Became a Captain.'' Runs 26pp. Volume two covers 1966-68 and features a Family Circus cartoon that shows the kids marching away and reads ''We'll be right back after we watch 'Captain Kangaroo'', a ''Hands Off Captain Kangaroo'' button, and a Sheraton Hotel children's menu with the ''Captain Kangaroo'' -- chicken salad on soft roll. Runs 37pp. Both volumes measure 13'' x 14.75''. Volume one is bowed, volume two has tear to bottom of front cover. Overall very good.
