1) Bronze bust of President Abraham Lincoln. This great classic American sculptor known for his plaster images of the early American life as well as the 80 castings of the American Civil War, did only two bronze sculptures in his lifetime. One bronze sculpture was Picket's Charge and the other one is the described bust of President Abraham Lincoln. This gilded bronze bust of Abe shows the President with a remorseful and worried look on his face. Lincoln was faced with many challenges of the Civil War as well as other domestic and international challenges as President of the USA. The bronze is signed on the back "JOHN ROGERS/NEW YORK" and sits on a black circular marble plinth. Measures 5 inches tall, 5 inches wide, 4 inches deep and weighs 12 lbs. By John Rogers (AM. 1829-1904). 2) Bronze oval wall plaque of President Abraham Lincoln. This finely cast plaque depicts a side bust view of President Lincoln repoussed out of the oval bronze plaque. The reverse is inscribed on the top of the plaque "HENRY MERWIN SHRADY" and at the bottom "CAST BY THE HENRY - BONNARD BRONZE CO/NEW YORK. 1890. This plaque was probably commissioned for the World Columbian Exposition held in Chicago in 1893. Measures 5 inches x 4 inches and weighs 2 lbs. By Henry Merwin Shrady (Am: 1871-1922).
