A) Manufacturer: Scottish Model: Flintlock Pistol
Produced without a front sight, with "CB-824" on top of the barrel, a set of crowned London "V" and "GP" proof stamps on the upper left side of the chamber, and a notch rear sight on a raised bolster. A light border engraving is present on the lock and hammer. Smooth steel stock, with a matching ramrod, a long belt hook on the left, and the distinctive ram-horn curl on the butt protecting an unscrewable clean-out pin. Good as partially restored with a mixed gray patina overall and scattered light pitting. The stock shows a repaired crack next to the replaced ramrod and pipe. Mechanically needs adjustment. An attractive example of a London proofed all-steel pistol.

Marked "LONDON" on top of the barrel at the breech next to a recessed "crown/GP" and "crown/V" proofs flanking a "IH". Stepped barrel with cannon muzzle, ball trigger and lightly engraved brass half stock. Provenance: The William Ashby Collection
