A) Two brass barrel bands. Lock is marked "WHATELY" in front of the hammer. Brown Bess pattern, possibly pre-War of 1812. Stock is cracked behind the upper barrel band and a small crack behind the upper tang.

B) The lock is marked "TOWER" and bares the crown "GR" and broad arrow crown property mark below the pan. The top of the barrel has two shallow Royal inspection marks. Barrel is obstructed at the breech end.
