<B>Lot of Two Books With Beautiful Riviere & Son Leather Bindings.</B></I> A stunning set of bindings by famed English book binders Riviere & Son. Each volume is identical in size, 12mo (5 x 7), and each has identically executed bindings. The fine brown calf bindings are lavishly decorated with gilt floral designs, gilt rules, and gilt ruled dentelles. There are six spine compartments between 5 raised bands and each compartment is decorated with the same floral motif as the boards. The books comprise an 1894 and 1895 edition of <I>The Book Lover's Almanac,</B></I> published in New York by Duprat & Company. Each book is numbered, printed on Van Gelder paper, and each is nicely illustrated with etchings and other illustrations. Each has marbled endpapers and both volumes are in fine condition.
