Two Bolt Action Rifles A) Yugoslavian Model 1948 98K Bolt Action Short Rifle with Bayonet
This model is very similar to the German 98K carbine. The top of the chamber is marked with the Communist Yugoslavian crest, the serial number is marked on the right side and the left side has Yugoslavian markings. Hooded front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 meters, blue finish with bright bolt assembly, cleaning rod and mounted with a full pistol grip stock with matching handguard and cupped buttplate. The barrel is import marked. All visible numbers, including the stock, are matching. With a knife bayonet, 9 3/4" blade, smooth grip, matching numbered sheath and a leather frog.

Condition: Excellent with 99% blue remaining. The bolt assembly remains bright. The stock has been lightly oiled and remains very good with scattered minor scratches, dings and dents. The markings are crisp and clear. The bayonet shows some bright wear. The action is excellent.

B) Excellent Mexican Model 1936 Bolt Action Rifle
Manufactured by Fabrica Nacional de Armes, Mexico City, Mexico, these bolt action rifles use a short type Mauser action and the appearance is similar to the Springfield Model 1903A1. The top of the chamber is marked with the National Arms/Federal District crest over "1947" and the left receiver wall is marked with the serial number. Hooded front sight, tangent rear sight graduated to 1,500 meters, bright bolt assembly and mounted with a walnut pistol grip stock with finger groove forearm, matching full handguard, steel buttplate, sling swivels and an oval brass tag (unmarked) affixed to the bottom near the toe.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 98% original finish with some thinning to brown on the muzzle and trigger guard. The bolt assembly remains bright. The stock is also excellent with a small filled repair on the left side of the forearm and a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The chamber marking is highlighted in white and remains clear. The action is excellent.
