Blade and tangent sights, with caliber markings on top of the barrel, "JGA" over a symbol of an upheld sword superposed on a shield on the chamber, and "Buscher/ Sportmodell/ Nurnberg" behind the ejector port. Smooth pistol grip stock with a flat buttplate.

Condition: Fine as refinished, showing 80% of the blue, with areas of brown patina, touch-up on the receiver, spotting and handling marks overall. Stock is very good, with pressure dents, small chips and scratches. Mechanically good.

B) Mauser "243" Code, 1938 Production K98 Bolt Action Israeli Rifle, 7.62mm NATO Conversion
Produced by Mauser in 1938 under the "243" code, and later converted for 7.62mm NATO for use by the Israelis. Hooded blade front and tangent rear sights, with "eagle/ 280" stamps on the right side of the receiver ring, "7.62" over the makers mark, a Star of David proof on top of the ring, and some Hebrew symbols on the ring and breech. Milled components, with some mixed numbers. Smooth straight grip stock, with brown leather sling, "7.62" branded into the toe and a cupped buttplate.
