c. 1930s-1940s. Two RPPCs of the 1932 fire in Bodie, CA. 1) "'Bodie, Afire' June 13, 1932/ Bodie, Mono County Calif. Frashers Fotos/ Pomona, Calif." View of a man with helmet (possibly a miner?) watching as plant burns down. Reverse is unused. 2) View shows billows of smoke and people standing in the street. Corner has Frasher stamp. "73833" written in upper corner. Reverse is postally unused but has pencil notations: "Bodie fire/ 6-23-32" and "73833." Two great views of the final fire in Bodie's history before it became a state park. The 1932 fire destroyed over 90% of the town and was believed to be caused by a 2 1/2 year-old playing with matches.City: BodieCounty: MonoState: CADate:
