This Grade 3 L.C. Smith has two side by side barrels numbered to the gun. Both barrels have a solid rib marked "HUNTER ARMS CO. FULTON, N.Y.". The 30" side by side barrels with an extractor. The other side by side barrels current length is 26" with an extractor. The casehardened side lock action features a fine scroll engraving with game bird scenes on the side plates. Two quail on the left side plate and two woodcocks on the right side plate, with both side plates marked "L.C. SMITH". The scroll motif extends to the trigger guard with a geometric engraved pattern on the break lever and fences. Double triggers, manual tang safety, checkered pistol grip stock and forearm, hard rubber grip cap, and serrated plastic buttplate. The forearm has an ebony tip insert and an embossed dog head hard rubber medallion on the underside. The LOP 14 1/2".

Condition: Very fine, with refinished barrels. Both barrels retain 97% of the blue finish with some minor spotting. The action retains 60% original case colors, otherwise faded to a gray. The wood is very fine with some minor dings and scratches and a few minor pressure dents with some scattered minor nicks in the overall crisp checkering and a contrasting forearm. The buttplate has a minor chip missing near the toe.
