1) Measuring 40 1/2 inches overall, with a 33 3/4 inch blade. The blade is double edged with triple fullers, 12 3/4 inch long panels of etched martial decoration, and the final 2 inches protected by a side ring. The side ring, 2 1/2 inches wide, is supported by a pair of forward reaching arms from the guard, with floral accents and serrated spiral ribbing on the right side. With a twisted wire grip and a cylindrical pommel ribbed and serrated to match the guard. 2) 16th Century style, with an overall length of 48 inches. The blade measures 39 inches, with a double edged spear point, and staggered triple fullers. Gold washed hilt, with 8 3/4 inch wide upturned quillions, a 2 3/8 inch wide guard ring on one side, chiseled scroll, leaf and dot themed engraving, twisted wire grip with braided wire accents, and a matching chiseled pommel. 1) Fine with a mixed gray patina overall. The side ring has been reattached to the support arms and a guard branch has been detached from the right side of the hilt. Some loose grip wire, and mild spotting and handling marks overall. 2) Very fine with a mixed gray patina and some minor pitting on the blade, along with some mild handling marks. 40% of the original gold finish is present on the hilt, strongest in the protected areas. The grip wrap is solid.
