A) Manufactured circa 1875, this early production New Model One revolver has the distinctive revolving recoil shield. About 650 of these early production revolvers were produced. Standard one line address/patent marking on the solid rib. Silver plated, with pearl bird head grips.

A) Fine. The revolver retains about 50% original silver finish, darkened with age, some areas cleaned bright and a mottled silver gray on the front strap.. The cylinder has a smooth silver-gray patina with a dark patina in the flutes with some minor pitting. The grips are excellent with a few light scratches.

B) Excellent. The revolver retains 98% original nickel finish with some scattered light flaking (mostly on the cylinder), a light cylinder drag line and fine scratches from being polished at one time. The nickel has a slight frost appearance. The grips are excellent with a few mild bruises in the overall crisp checkering.
