1) American Eagle Head Pommel Officer's Sword with Sheath. Measuring 36 1/2 inches overall, with a 31 1/2 inch straight single fuller blade, etched on the lower third. Gilt brass hilt, with an American Eagle on the languet, feathered guard, wire wrapped mother of pearl grips and an eagle head pommel. With a gilt brass sheath, decorated with leaf engraving. 2) Horstmann & Sons American Militia Officer's Saber with Sheath. 36 3/4 inches overall, with 30 1/2 inch straight double edged single fuller blade, etched with conventional floral and panoplies and marked "W.H. HORSTMANN/& SONS/PHILADELPHIA" on the right side. Brass acorn quillion crossguard and helmet pommel, with a chain knuckleguard and a carved bone grip. With a gilt finished sheath. 1) Fair, with a mixed gray patina, showing a mixed gray patina with spotting on the blade, faint etching, and a deep antique patina on the exposed sections on the brass. 2) Good, with a mixed gray patina and mild spotting on the blade. The grip is fair, secured with tape. Sheath is good, with dents and scratches.
