1) Scheble & Fisher (Philadelphia) 1840 pattern heavy cavalry saber, 35 3/4" curved double fuller blade with makers marks on left ricasso, 2 branch guard, Phrygian helmet pommel, wire and leather grips and iron sheath. 2) Rohrig (Solingen) 1840 saber, 35 1/2" blade, makers mark on back, otherwise as #1.

Condition: 1) Fair, with some chips and spotting on the blade, mild wear on the grip, some chipping of the pommel, an aged brass patina and pitting on the scabbard. 2) Refinished, with the blade polished and fullers reground, loose hilt with dark patina, lost leather, exposed grip cord, mixed scabbard patina.
