Twelve-inch Acetate With Tracks from Sgt. Pepper'
Twelve-inch Acetate With Tracks from Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This is a piece of rock and roll history, a part of the production of one of the most important albums of all time. This 12-inch acetate was pressed close to the final mixdown with 4 tracks on each side. The recording is in mono and has great sound. Most of the cuts have minor differences in vocal background levels, and some effects have not been mixed in yet. Paul's bass stands out very clearly in this mix. In "Day In The Life" there is no alarm clock before Paul's vocal. This acetate was brought to a collector's shop in LA in the early 1980s. The seller said it was given to him by a teacher he had taken a recording class from who had worked at Abbey Road. An amazing one-of-a-kind piece for the Beatles collector who thought he had everything! Side 1: "With a Little Help From My Friends", "Lucy In the Sky With Diamonds", "It's Getting Better", "I'm Fixing a Hole." Side 2: "Lovely Rita", "Good Morning Good Morning", "Sgt. Pepper (Reprise)", "A Day in the Life." Condition is VG+ with some minor surface noise. At the very end of Side 2 after "A Day in the Life" there is a run-out groove.
