Tunisian Tile Panel
Each set of 4 tiles forms a center pattern with fleur de lis corners, and each tile is approximately 4" square and 1/2" thick. The central 4 tile set is a slightly different design, used to set off the surrounding tiles. These are hand made, ca 1930, with a cream/buff background color, and designs hand painted in dark blue, green, and gold, with black outlines. Stilt marks from kiln hardware on the surface. Condition is excellent. Appropriate for floors, backsplashes, counter tope, walls, tables, and more. The final panel size, with 1/8" grout lines, measures 16 1/4" by 24 5/8". Imagine this panel accenting the back wall over your stove! Included are 7 extra tiles, which can be used as fillers, or for cut tile work. Sold as a set of 31 tiles.
