Tumbaga silver bar ND (c 1525), a name given to an allo
Tumbaga silver bar ND (c 1525), a name given to an alloy of mostly silver in combination with gold and copper. This bar was discovered, with around 200 others, in the Bahamas in 1992. It has tax stamps and assayers mark that trace directly to the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. The number on the tag on the bar corresponds to the number in the book, Tumbaga Silver for Emperor Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire, by Douglas Armstrong who cleaned and preserved each bar in his laboratory in Florida. We have taken this directly from the certificate which accompanies the bar. The certificate is from noted shipwreck specialist Daniel Frank Sedwick. The weight is 5.66 pounds.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
