Tsiolkovsky Original Manuscript Page (12.5x10") written on both sides of light cardboard (Tsiolkovsky was very poor and had to use whatever "paper" he could find). The front of this page has two pictures. The text reads: "Relative events. We shall relate events towards rocket, our acquaintances, towards Earth and sun on. The sign is given, explosion starts. The rocket shakes and moves. We are feeling that became very heavy (picture #2). The force of Earth weight is affecting equally on the rocket and on the body inside it. Because of it there is no difference between movement of the rocket and bodies inside it". The vertical text at left reads: "Pictures with explanations. K. Tsiolkovsky". The right side of the first page has two pictures. The first (#2 mentioned above) shows the vertical launch of a space ship and a cosmonaut. The second picture is notated "same force is influencing on the rocket as if there are no forces of weight". the picture shows a cosmonaut in weightlessness, a magnet, etc. The second page reads: "1. Sources of existence during the flight. Cabins must be strictly isolated, practically closed and very strong, to stand pressure of gases, but more than 1 kilo/sm2 on the walls of camera, when the last one is lifted to less dense layer of atmosphere and beyond. 2. It is not enough to have mix of oxygen and gases. We have to add oxygen, transferred to carbon dioxide and exterminate or separate products of breathing, etc. 3. For existence during indefinitely long time without atmosphere of planet, it is possible to use forces of sun rays. Same as Earth atmosphere cleans by itself with the help of sun, same way can be renewed our artificial atmosphere (check "Earth and Sky" K. Ts"" (those are his initials). The bottom picture shows an air supply and is notated: "If the trip is too long, such supplies are not burden, but if months, years...". The top picture (#3) shows a cosmonaut is a closed capsule. There is a vertical crease in the center of this page where it has been folded. That should in no way detract from the rarity and importance of this document.
