Barrel gauges at approximately .44 caliber with the top flat marked "LONDON" and two British proofs on the upper left flat near the breech. Light floral engraving on the breech plug, upper tang, hammer, trigger guard, and lock plate. Two silver inlaid bands on the breech plug and "TRYON" marked on the lock plate. Smooth full length stock with butt compartment. Tryon was known to sell arms to the confederacy. The under barrel cyrilic markings suggest confederate usage.

Condition: Good. The pistol has a smooth gray patina with some minor pitting (more prevalent on the barrel and trigger guard). The stock is good with a small crack on the right side of the forearm near the muzzle and a long crack radiating from the lock plate screw on the left side, along with numerous minor dings, pressure dents, and scratches. Full cock notch is absent from hammer, otherwise functions from half cock notch.
