Choice view! This saloon interior shows over a dozen people (and a dog) with two Pillsbury Lake Tahoe views framed on the wall! Also two trade stimulators on the counter, and a Budweiser advertising piece above the register. There is also a sign above the register that says they will pay 5 cents for 1909 Lincoln pennies! The identification comes from pen notations on the reverse that name the bartender (Charlie Collins), Dr. Bryant, Tony Polyanich, and Wm. Bottcher(?). Bryant was a physician in Truckee, and Charles Collins was the night bartender at the Fountain Saloon (Truckee Republican, April 1905). Tony Polyanich (seated at far right) owned the Glen Barrel House in the Marks building which opened in 1910 with Paul Hatchen. Later, he owned the Tony Polyanich's Coffee Shop and Saloon on Donner Pass Road. This is likely the Glen Barrel House saloon, given Polyanich is sitting behind the bar and this is a c.1910 view. Photo is 6.5 x 8.5" on 9 x 11" mount.
