An impressive collection of 72 commemorative Crown coins from Tristan Da Cunha, comprised of 8-coin collections housed in attractive cherry-finished wooden presentation cases. Consists of: (1) 70th Anniversary of WWII Victory, 2015-16, in gold-plate with small multi-coloured enamelled flags, etc., themes including Churchill, Royal Family on balcony, etc. (2) Queen Elizabeth's Crowning Moments, 2014-15, in gold plate with full-colour images on reverse including Queen's Wedding, Audience with Pope John Paul II, and Royal Family on balcony for VE Day, etc. (3) World's Greatest Naval Battles, a set of Dollar coins issued for Tuvalu in 2017, gold-plated and all depicting ships including Battles of Trafalgar, Tsushima, and Jutland, etc. (4) 75th Anniversary of D-Day, a medallic-issue in Silver Plate with sepia photo-images on reverse of battles and/or soliders involved, and common obverse battle-map for Operation Overlord (note: all medalions in this set have imbedded spot of sand from Normandy Beach!).
