Triplett & Scott swivel breech carbine, .50 cal., 30” round barrel, blue finish, wood stocks, “Kentucky” marked on left side of receiver, #984 in overall very good condition showing a dark uncleaned patina on metal surfaces, very good bore, crisp action, very good markings and good wood with scattered mars and scratches from storage and an old approx. progressive 7” crack along the left butt stock following the spring assisted loading tube concealed in the stock; top tang rear screw missing as is the sling swivel at the rear of the butt stock and a screw at the top of the butt plate; front and rear sights are correct; a hard-to-find American Civil War era firearm which we believe only approx. 5,000 were produced.
