Trini Lopez Letter from John Connally, LBJ Inauguration Invitation and Congressional Commissions. Five items with ties to Trini's political affiliations. Includes: 1)A invitation to Trini dated December 28, 1967 from then-Texas governor John Connally and signed by him in the bottom right corner. Matted and framed to an overall 10 ¼" x 13 ¾". Invitation has two fold marks and some creasing. Connally's signature has faded quite a bit. And there are tears in the backing paper. Otherwise, in Very Good Plus condition; 2)A plaque with a tribute to Trini from Congressional Record. Measures 8 ½" x 11 ½". In Near Mint condition; 3)Housed in a frame, this is an invitation to the inauguration of Lyndon Baines Johnson on January 20, 1965. Matted and framed to an overall 10" x 12". In Very Good condition with toning on the matte; 4)Housed in a blue folder, this Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition was a lifetime entertainment achievement award, given on October 19, 2007. Measures 8 ½" x 11". In Near Mint condition; 5)A Congressional Lifetime Achievement Award presented on July 10, 2010. Measures 15" x 17". In Near Mint condition. COA from Heritage Auctions.
