This is an interesting example of mid-century modernist Italian glass. The "tutti frutti" design is attributed to Dino Martens of A.V.E.M. during the 1940s. This roughly triangular piece is attributed to Vittorio Ferro and was probably made at Vetreria Fratelli Toso in the 1950s. This piece began with a blown layer of black glass. It was covered with silver adventurine foil and many multicolored canes. It was finally cased in clear glass.
