Very unique opportunity to own Alf Rieckoff's (aka Alf Malvern) rare nickel finished Remington No.2 chambered in .22rf with a 22 1/2 " inch barrel. Alf was a sharpshooter during the wild west days and would perform his trick shooting at many events. Rifle is in overall good condition retaining almost all original nickel finish. Wood shows some wear and usage, this would be expected for an expert marksman performer. Bore is good with some pitting visible in the rifling. Rifle comes with Alf's custom stand. S/N 55385. Large provenance album includes Alf Rieckhoff's Certificate of Visitation to World's Columbian Exposition October 30, 1893. Souvenir shot cards, original handbill and poster sketches portraying the rifle setup, signed targets from performances, period newspaper clippings (even one reporting the incident he shot and killed his assistant onstage!), original handbills portraying both of his names used in performance and portraying the rifle with stand shown. Also includes ads and clippings of other trickshooters.
