Pastel on paper, attributed to Georges D Espagnat, approx. 20x14 in. Georges d'Espagnat was a Post-Impressionist painter, muralist, illustrator, and theater designer. After moving to Paris at the age of 18 to study painting, he became involved with prominent Impressionist painters of the time, exhibiting his work at the Salon des Refusés and the Salon des Indépendants in Paris. d’Espagnat’s depicted everyday Parisian life, female figures, landscapes, and still lifes, in a painterly style of additive brushstrokes with a unique treatment of color, resembling the Fauves.

Absentee and online bids are accepted. All major credit cards are accepted. Bank wires and cashier’s checks are accepted. For credit card payments, buyer is required to sign Payment Authorization Form that will be provided via email. Merchandise will not be released until payment is cleared, and Authorization form has been completed and returned. All sales exceeding $5000 must be paid by bank wire. Payment is expected within 1-2 business days concluding auction. Any item that has not been paid for is forfeited by the buyer and the item may be put back on the auction block for sale. Any buyer that does not make payment will automatically be blocked from future Auction House auctions and will be filed with a collection agency and the credit bureau.
