This is a Treaty of Easton/Duffield Indian peace medal 1787 in a display case with the museum tag. The museum tag is marked, “C. Heritage Museum Lot # 7626.4 –B-74 C. Clark Acquisition.” The piece shows faceted soft blue Native American Indian glass trade beads with copper spacing beads and two excellent Bear teeth. The front of the medal is marked “Georgivs II Dei Gratia”. The piece appears to be a very clean strike of solid copper. This is an exceedingly desirable and famous peace medal. The medal measures 2.75” diameter with a 36” circumference trade bead necklace. This is in a 14.25”x20 3/8” black display box with glass top. Strike date unknown. Trade beads are 18th to 19th century.
