Rare signed document by the members of the Traveling Willburys

Signed in ink and felt tip pen by Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, and Barbara Orbison
Authentic Willburys memorabilia is almost non-existent, and this is by far the finest and most significant Willburys piece we have seen

Reversing the usual process by which groups break up and give way to solo careers, the Traveling Wilburys were one of the greatest “supergroups” ever assembled in the history of modern music. The group was organized by former Beatle George Harrison, former Electric Light Orchestra leader Jeff Lynne, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, and Roy Orbison, thus representing three generations of rock stars. In 1988, the five (who had known each other for years) came together to record a Harrison B-side single and ended up writing and recording an album on which they shared lead vocals. It turned out to be a way to transcend the high expectations made of any of them as individuals, and a delighted public sent the album to number three, with two singles, "Handle With Care" and "End of the Line" hitting the charts. Unfortunately, Orbison died of a heart attack only a few weeks after the album's release.
Offered here is a rare signed document, fifteen pages, 8.5" x 11", and dated January 1, 1989. It is a contract between EMI Publishing and the members of the Traveling Wilburys regarding the song "Rattled," which was featured on the supergroup's debut album. The agreement specifies that any and all profit from the song is to be divided as follows: Bob Dylan 14.17%, George Harrison 24.79%, Jeff Lynne 39.79%, Roy Orbison 7.08% and Tom Petty 14.17%. Signed on page fourteen in ink and felt tip by Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne and by Barbara Orbison as executor for the estate of Roy Orbison. It is a fine condition. Authentic Wilburys memorabilia is almost nonexistent in the marketplace, and this is by far the finest--and most significant--Wilburys piece we have seen.
