Travancore – uninscribed Copper ‘Thira kasu’ of Venad kingdom, c. 1500-1600 AD, not listed in Sarasan, 0.70 grams. Obv: frontal standing human figure, holding a bow in one hand and an arrow in the other
Rev: strung bow-and-arrow and a strung bow in a dotted circle. The figure on the obverse is evidently of Shri Rama. Sarasan lists similar coins with a ‘running Hanumana’ motif so plausibly this type is a counterpart in the same series. Very Fine, Rare.
