Tranter Model 1868 .450 Cal 6 Shot Double Action Engraved Revolver w/ 127 mm octagon bbl [ approx. 75 % original blue finish remains. Barrel rib engraved "London Armoury Jas Kerr& Co. 54 King William St. E.C." . Left barrel flat stamped "W.Tranter Patent". High polish escutcheon on back of grip appears to have intertwined initial "Rh". Foliate engraving covers most of the frame and sections of the cylinder, trigger guard, butt cap, and barrel. Bore very good ( consignor's opionion) , finely checkered one piece wood grip excellent, except for marked trigger pressure required in order to drop the hammer in double action mode, mechanics are good, c/w CFC letter of Antique Status , Note; CFC errs in classifying this piece as a Tranter 1879 Army Revolver , c/w it's original leather left handed holster. The "Rh" monogram ( which appears on the revolver's grip escutcheon) is barely discernible on the holster, condition is poor, with much crazing, dryness and internal repairs ] Ser # 30554 ANTIQUE NO PAL REQ
