From the Nick and Suzanne Collection we have a traditional Acoma Jar by Norma Jean Ortiz, measures 6''H x 7''W and features cloud designs painted just under rim, highly textured from rim to midsection of jar, traditional black on white Acoma designs on lower half of jar, signed by artist on bottom of jar, Norma Jean Ortiz (Acoma) lives in the ancient Acoma ''Sky City'' in New Mexico. There she creates beautiful works of traditional Acoma artwork including corrugated pottery, clay sculptures, and paintings. Norma Jean Ortiz has been making pottery for over 35 years. Her pottery has also been referred to as Anasazi pots because it is of the same style created by the ancient Anasazi people who used this pottery for cooking. Norma Jean learned the traditional Acoma coil method of pottery making as a child by observing her great-grandmother and grandmother. To give the pots their rigid texture, Norma Jean uses a deer antler to press into the strips while she is doing the coiling, this creates the pot's corrugation.

*** If an item is materially different than was described by the Seller, Buyer shall have 48 hours from the date the property is received to notify the Seller. After the 48 hour period all items are considered as is, without recourse. No buyers premium or shipping will be re-embursed on items returned for any reason.
*** By bidding in this auction you are entering a binding legal contract to pay for your items within 1 week of the close of the auction. Non payment will result in a non pay warning. Items not paid for upon the non pay warning, will be relisted for resale within 10 days. You represent that you are over the age of 18 and can enter into legal contracts. Any Bidder that has never purchased from us, may be asked for credit card information prior to Approval To Bid.
*** The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser, regardless of the time the bids were placed. In the event of a tie between bidders, the auctioneer shall have the sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after sale, the Company's sale record shall be conclusive in all respects.

*** Shipping: We combine shipping for multiple purchases where possible. All shipping is at the buyers expense, and will be determined after each auction, based on actual shipping charges to designated shipping address, supplied by the buyer. Buyer will pay actual shipping costs plus insurance & handling. We require all items to be insured. Return shipping of items to us must be preauthorized and is at the buyers expense.
