Tower percussion musket, .75 cal., 29” shortened barrel, bayonet lug, brass patchbox and furniture, wood stock, replaced hammer. This old work horse is in overall fair condition; lock plate is dated 1864 withcrown V.R. and broad arrow over “1”; action is working, bore is dark, stock is worn with scattered old mars, scratches, some old breaks around the upper tang, an old replacement section of approx. 5” at thefront end with old replacement brass cap. This is definitely a gun that likely saw a lot of action throughout the various locals of the old British Empire. Est.: $400-$800.
