Tower Enfield .58 caliber rifled musket, 3-band, dated 1859 with brass mounts and Tower, VR, and Crown marks. The metal surfaces show a grey to brown patina finish, some light to slightly heavy scattered erosion and surface pitting with the heaviest pitting occurring at the breech end of the barrel and rear 12” of the barrel. The stock shows sanding and some losses, along ramrod channel, and is fair overall, slightly downsized against the metal. The swivels have been removed from the bands. There is some small losses along the upper edge of the stock and along the ramrod channel. The stock is only fair. The action is crisp, the bore is fair, with some erosion and wear to the rifling. Many of these were imported and used on both sides of the Civil War, particularly with the early date. From the Bernard Braverman Collection. Est: $500 - $1,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
