<B>TOURMALINE CRYSTAL<BR> </B></I><BR> <I>Paprok, Konar Province, Afghanistan</B></I><BR>A sizable crystal of multi-colored tourmaline from one of the more productive of Afghanistan's many localities. This single prism displays the typical Paprok coloration of pale-pink near the base, green through the upper section and pink again at the termination. There is a 'contact' on the back side where this prism grew against another, thereby affecting the growth surfaces of both. The luster is glassy and the termination shows no damage. There are a few included blades of Clevelandite otherwise the crystal is clean.
