<B> TOURMALINE</B></I> <B>CRYSTAL</B></I><BR><BR> <I>Pech, Konar, Nuristan, Afghanistan</B></I><BR>This excellent single crystal of bi-colored tourmaline from this remote corner of Asia, sports a pastel pink base, transitioning to a gemmy, grass-green center section and terminating in a light pink tip. The faces are very sharp and glassy with prominent vertical striations. There are a few tiny inclusions of clevelandite, otherwise no matrix or other minerals. It measures 2 ¼ x 7/8 inch in diameter.
