This is an original signed production cel from the show "Touche Turtle and Dum Dum" from Bob Singer signed the cel at the bottom in black sharpie. * Bob Singer is an American animation artist, character designer, layout and background artist and storyboard director of animated television programs, most memorably of several Hanna Barbara productions such as The Flintstones, Jonny Quest, Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear, Droopy, Tom and Jerry, The Jetsons, The Smurfs, Superfriends, and the Harlem Globe Trotters cartoons. * Touché Turtle and Dum Dum were a pair of heroic fencers who battle villains and heroically saves kings, queens, maidens and others in distress. Touché was the brave and dashing leader, whereas Dum Dum was more of a simple minded follower. Brandishing his trusty sword and exclaiming his catchphrase "Touché away!" During the run of the show Touché Turtle used a standard fencing foil as a weapon. But in the opening title sequence, Touché Turtle used a firehose against a firebreathing dragon, a thing to tie up an octopus, and a fencing foil made of a nonconductive material against a sentient lightning bolt. * I challenge you to a duel... * Original Animated Cel Overall Size of the Cel: 10 1/2" x 12 1/2" Dated: 1961 Excellent Condition This is an original hand-painted cel set-up used in the production of "Touche Turtle and Dum Dum". Each one-of-a-kind set-up represents a slight change in position of the characters. When individually photographed and projected in rapid succession, the images appear to move. * To create production cels, the original animator's drawing is transferred onto an acetate cel (by hand-inking and/or photo copying). The cel is then hand-painted on the reverse side. * The cel is ready to be matted and framed. The animators notations are located at the bottom of cel. *
