<B>Toronto, ON- The Standard Bank of Canada</B></I> $5 May 1, 1891 Ch. # 695-14-08<BR> This institution operated very successfully from 1876 until 1928, when it merged with the Canadian Bank of Commerce. This example, displays one of the most colorful and attractive designs used by any chartered bank. Low grade specimens are easily found, but, as Charlton notes, examples are "very difficult to obtain in VF or better conditions." <B>Extremely Fine,</B></I> with the colors as brilliant as the day the note left the press. <BR><I>From The Thomas M.
