<B>Toronto, ON- The Canadian Bank of Commerce</B></I> $5 Jan. 2, 1917 Ch. # 75-16-04-06a<BR> The allegorical 1917 issue is the first issue from this bank which is readily available in well circulated condition. High grade examples, however, are difficult to find in the lower denominations (save for the $5 with the white background, which is very rare in all grades) and just plain scarce in the higher value notes.
