<B>Toronto, ON- The Bank of Toronto</B></I> $5 Feb. 1, 1906 Ch. # 715-22-06<BR> This institution grew from expansion within, rather than by acquiring other banks, until its 1954 merger with the Dominion Bank, the first merger or acquisition for ether company. Its distinctive "yellow notes" were issued, with only minor design changes, continuously from 1887 through 1929.
