<B>Toronto, CW- The International Bank of Canada </B></I>$1<B> </B></I>(2), $2, $5 Sept. 15, 1858 Ch. # 380-10-08-04, 380-10-08-12, 380-10-10-08, 380-10-10-16a<BR> This institution, originally chartered in 1857 to provide banking services in Cayuga, Ontario, became one of the most notorious of Canada's wildcat banks when it moved to Toronto. Operated by the same promoter as The Bank of Clifton, this bank failed in 1859, although its charter was not repealed until 1863. The first two notes in this lot are the single signature, brown protector variety, with both pieces grading <B>Crisp Uncirculated. </B></I>The third and fourth notes are the one signature, red protector variety, with the $1 grading <B>Fine</B></I> and the $5 <B>Uncirculated.</B></I><BR><I>From The Thomas M.
